Wedding ended in accident: bride and groom and five guests injured

A newlywed couple and five wedding guests were injured in a traffic accident in the German district of Osnabrück on Saturday morning. “It was a wedding party on the way back home from the wedding,” reported a spokesman for the local fire department, “the bride was still in her wedding dress.” One man was seriously injured in the accident, the others suffered minor injuries. All were examined by the emergency services and then taken to the hospital, said the fire department spokesman.

“This is not how you want a wedding to end.”

According to the police, the driver of the minibus drove off the road for an unknown reason and the car then overturned into the ditch. “A truck driver stopped and helped the people out of the minibus,” said the fire department spokesman, who was involved in the operation. “Of course they were all in shock too. That’s not how you want the wedding to end.”
