The young Welser had repeatedly threatened to kill the 47-year-old friend of his 48-year-old mother. First via mobile phone and in a previous argument, late Tuesday evening he again threatened his opponent with a death threat. He is also said to have attacked the 47-year-old with a knife. The grandmother (77) was able to stop him, the state police said on Wednesday. The police were ordered to the scene in Wels around 11:20 p.m. The 20-year-old was arrested and taken to Wels Prison.
