West African Electric Power Exchange System Tests: Synchronization Trials in Zones 2 and 3 for 12 Countries

As part of the WAPP Network Interconnection Program (West African Electric Power Exchange System), permanent synchronization tests for zones 2 and 3 will be carried out this Saturday, July 8, 2023, informs the Communication Unit of the Senelec.

“The countries involved in these trials are Togo, Benin, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Mali, Senegal, Gambia and Mauritania. The objective of this project is to ensure a regular, reliable and cost-competitive supply of electrical energy for the benefit of the populations of the Member States,” reads a press release.

As during the successful tests on October 22, 2022 and March 11, 2023, the defense plan in force will be used to limit any inconvenience.
