GeeMost people spend a good part of their labor on the seed building their dream house. There are many people who dream of a house that is different from others. One such farmer is Mintu Roy, a native of West Bengal. Mintu’s attempt is to build a house in the shape of the Titanic. Ten years have passed since the work started.

The shipyard is being built in Siliguri in Helenshah district. It is also designed by Mintu. As none of the engineers were ready to build the boat house, he undertook the construction himself.

The work started in 2010. The construction works were done keeping the income from agriculture. However, due to financial difficulties, the construction had to be stopped. Finally, he traveled to Nepal to study construction. He spent three years there and trained.

Returned and started doing the work himself. Now the basic form of the house is complete. The house has three floors. This house has all the control room and chimneys of the ship. Mintu says it will have a wide staircase like that of the Titanic, and woodwork to enhance the interiors.

The aim is to make the top floor a restaurant. Mintu states that the construction should be completed within a year and 15 lakhs has been spent so far.
