With regard to Laila Abdel Latif’s expectations about Lebanon, their entirety focused on the dollar exchange rate, the fuel and electricity crisis, as well as the government of Prime Minister Najib Mikati.
Here are the main expectations:
The dollar in Lebanon will remain in a state of vibration during the current period, and will continue the process of declining and rising for a certain period, and no matter how much the dollar falls, I see a crazy jump that will make it exceed 50 thousand pounds. We will see the black market disappear from the facade and from circulation, with the emergence of serious financial solutions, and the exchange rate will be fixed in a final and moderate manner.
– Several sudden and unexpected breakthroughs in the hydrocarbon crisis, and I see the contribution of 3 large and effective countries to this crisis, including a Gulf state.
Next winter will be very harsh.
– Lebanese security boats are cruising the Lebanese shore and sea, due to an unfortunate event in Lebanese waters.
– Ministers in Mikati’s government are visiting Syria, and I do not rule out that Mikati will visit Syria personally in the coming period.
A public diplomatic rapprochement between the United States and Syria causes some leaders of the Lebanese political arena to change their position on the Syrian regime and President Bashar al-Assad in a positive way.
– Bold decisions that Mikati will take during the coming period, which will put him in the face of one of the major political currents.
