A Vermont man was accused of killing his mother at sea in 2016 to get his family’s money, and he allegedly killed her and sank a boat off the coast of New England.
His mother’s body has not been recovered.
Karman received nearly $550,000 upon his grandfather’s death, and was willing to receive millions more as his mother’s sole heir.
He is a prime suspect in his grandfather’s murder as the last person he sees alive in 2013 after dinner with him the same night.
Last Wednesday, he appeared in federal court and pleaded not guilty to charges of fraud and the murder of his mother, but was not charged in the death of his grandfather.
