A new species of pterosaur, called Thanatosdrakon amaru, from the Greek “dragon of death”, has just been identified in Argentina. More than 86 million years old and with a wingspan of nine meters, this dinosaur is the largest of its species ever discovered in South America. What do we know regarding this flying giant? We take stock.
