Then they were taught to write, read and play musical instruments. All this lasted from three to five years.
In the end, the concubines were waiting for the final exam. The Sultan’s mother, Valide, held a small celebration in the harem. It was on it that the students who graduated from school were the main servants.
They served food and drinks, played instruments and danced. During the whole evening, the main mistress of the harem carefully observed everyone and chose the best.
