The Swiss National Bank (SNB) announces a loss of 95.2 billion francs in the first half of 2022, while it posted a profit of 43.5 billion a year earlier. A hole that raises fears that the share of net profit paid to the cantons will melt like snow in the sun in the near future. However, for the State of Fribourg, this windfall is often precious. In recent years, it has regularly reached several tens of millions of francs (see infographic opposite). And even 149.4 million francs in the 2021 financial year. For the current year, an amount of 149.9 million francs is expected.
