O HomePod and the HomePod mini are Apple’s smart speakers. They are ideal options for those who are already within Apple’s ecosystem of products and services — as is the case with the iPhone and Apple Music, for example.

We’ve already given you some interesting tips about them, such as the possibility of creating a stereo pair and using them even in a place where there is no Wi-Fi network.

Today, we’re going to show you how you can easily resolve issues involving the setup of these speakers.

Remember that to activate a HomePod, you must have an iPhone or iPad — this no can be done on a Mac or using an Android device. Make sure you’re running the latest version of iOS on your iPhone or iPadOS on your iPad. If you’re setting up a second-generation HomePod (released in early 2023), you need iOS/iPadOS 16.3 or later. Since HomePod connects using a Wi-Fi network, you need to make sure your iPhone/iPad is connected to such a network. To check this, open Settings and tap “Wi-Fi”. Apple does not recommend that you use the Personal Hotspot feature. If you don’t see the HomePod setup popup on your iPhone/iPad, manually open the Home app, tap the “+” (in the top right corner), and then tap Add Accessory » More options… » HomePod. Forget the currently connected Wi-Fi network on iPhone/iPad and connect again. Make sure two-factor authentication is enabled. See if “Passwords and Keys” is activated. On iPhone/iPad, open Settings, tap your name (at the top of the screen) and scroll to iCloud » Passwords and Keys. Restart your iPhone/iPad and try again.

We hope these tips helped you! ????
