New full-screen mode, new font, launch of NFTs on the platform… Here are the new features that should land on Instagram in June.
A new visual identity
“We are bringing new energy and purpose to our colors, font, logo and other brand elements with a refreshed visual identity” a announced instagram at the end of the month.

A full screen mode

At the beginning of May, Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, confirmed the test of displaying posts in full screen on the platform. Larger photos and videos should start appearing in some feeds. In short, the Stories bar will always position itself along the top of the app. An indicator at the bottom of posts will prompt the user to swipe left to see the rest of the content.
The arrival of NFTs
Instagram start to test non-fungible tokens, NFT, with a handful of American designers and collectors. Clearly, they will be able to share on Instagram the NFTs they have created or purchased. Once logged in, creators and collectors will be able to choose which NFTs from their portfolio they want to share on Instagram. Also, creators will be able to display public information about the collectible. For example, a description of the NFT. All posts of this type will be visible on their profile. Finally, the creator and collector will be able to appear in the digital collectible’s post, subject to their privacy settings.
