WhatsApp starts releasing video messages of up to 60 seconds

2023-07-27 16:37:20

After the feature was seen in tests in March of this year, the WhatsApp started today to release for all video messages. Almost exactly like in Telegram, it is now possible to record a video of up to 60 seconds, being able to toggle the button to record a voice message by touching and holding it to start recording.

Also as with audio recording, you can drag up to lock the button and get hands-free recording. When receiving video messages, they will automatically play in silent mode when opened in a conversation. Just by tapping the videos they play with sound.

Sometimes you just have to see it to believe it. ???? Now you can capture the moment as soon as it happens with a Video Message.

Just like when the feature was in testing, the interface for a video message is different than when sending a video file from the gallery. The content appears inside a circle, really being something with the idea of being faster and more practical, in addition to the duration of the video being shown around the circle as it plays.

It’s worth remembering that video messages are also protected by end-to-end encryption, so only conversation members have access to your content. The feature began rolling out today and will gradually roll out to all users “in the coming weeks”.
