When Nagui reframes a candidate who is a little too enterprising live: “You are going to calm down”

Getting a rake is never pleasant and even less when it’s in front of thousands of viewers. Fanny, a candidate for “Don’t forget the lyrics”, has just had the bitter experience of it. This November 30, the Frenchwoman came to try her luck to beat her rival Caroline, the maestro. She thus appeared on the set singing the title “Call me maybe”.

At the end of his performance, Nagui, the presenter, welcomed the candidate in a humorous tone. “But who didn’t call you Fanny tell us, it’s not possible? (note: in reference to the lyrics of the song) I’m saying that because you’re single.” he threw at her. What Fanny replied to : “I was waiting for you”. A moment of unease then set in and the public instantly caught fire. Nagui tried to bring the young candidate back to reality. “So two thoughts cross my mind, firstly, she has very beautiful eyes, secondly, you could be my daughter, you will calm down”, replied the presenter. The candidate then apologized. “Here, we have calmed things down, that’s it, ” Nagui concluded.

Remember that the presenter of France 2 shares his life with his companion, the Australian-British actress Mélanie Page, for more than twenty years.
