Trent Bolt is one of the greatest pace bowlers of all time in New Zealand cricket. The player who excels for the team in any format is also adept at imparting the excitement of his bowling to the spectators and fans alike.
Bolt is the all-rounder for the Rajasthan Royals’ pace line-up in IPL 2022. Bolt’s performance for Rajasthan has won him many fans in India, especially in Kerala.
Now, Bolt is outspoken about the batter who has the best performance against him. Bolt opened up in an interview with Cricinfo.
According to Bolt, Rajasthan Royals teammate Karun Nair was shocked by the number of specialist batters.
The most surprising fact is that Bolt has never bowled against Karun in an international match or in the IPL. Bolt has so far bowled for mercy only on the net during the practice session.
Bolt says Karun has an extraordinary talent for dealing with himself on the net. Bolt added that Karun was able to play his balls well.
‘I have never bowled against Karun Nair in a single game. But he plays beautifully with every ball I throw on the net. So if you ask me who the best player is right now, I will say Karun’s name, ‘says Bolt.
Karun Nair is a player who has shown his extraordinary talent in Tests for India. After Indian cricket legend Virender Sehwag, Karun is the only player to score a triple century for India in Tests. In 2016, Karun went on to achieve his dream goal against England.
He last played for India in 2017. Karun last wore the Indian jersey in the Test-ODI series against Australia.
Karun Nair, who was KKR’s star last season, was brought to the Rajasthan team for Rs 1.4 crore. But so far Karun has only got one chance to bat in one match. But in that match, the star did not shine as he should.
However, the team had made it clear that Karun was likely to be a part of the team in the upcoming matches.
