A number of Turkish media outlets, including the “Fotomac” website, agreed that Sharjah Club (King) had made great strides towards contracting with Mauricio Lemos.
The defense rock only spent the first two seasons of his professional career in his country of Uruguay, before being kidnapped by Russia’s Rubin Kazan in 2015.
Lemos quickly moved to Las Palmas, Spain, where he spent 4 seasons, including one season on loan to Sassuolo, Italy.
And since 2020, the 26-year-old has worn the Turkish club Fenerbahce’s crest, with the exception of the last 2021-2022 season, which he spent on loan to Belgium’s Bierchut.
Lemos has been a fixture in the Uruguayan under-20 national team, but only had two chances to represent the national team in 2017.
The Turkish media did not confirm the value of the expected deal, or the salary that Lemos will receive in the “smiling emirate”.
And “Fotomac” was satisfied by noting that the owner of shirt No. 29 welcomed the king’s offer.
