In November last year, Bpost offered CEO Dirk Tirez a severance package – the company itself prefers to speak of “an incentive to continue cooperation” – of 450,000 euros. The leader refused the offer. The versions differ as to the reasons for this refusal. According to Bpost, the senior manager wanted a higher amount. A few weeks later, his contract was terminated, but without additional compensation.
