Why did Prince William’s companion send Elizabeth II “walking” for five years?

It is sometimes difficult to refuse an offer from your boss that does not suit you. But it’s hard for us to imagine declining an invitation from a Head of State or even the Queen of England. However, Kate Middleton doesn’t seem to have had any qualms doing it for five years. A fact that is hard to imagine when we see how close William’s companion seems to Elizabeth II, and especially during her platinum jubilee, unlike her companion and her brother.

Indeed, the Queen’s grandchildren never appeared together during the four days of festivities across the Channel. Worse still, a rule would have been imposed on them so as not to widen the gap that has been between them for a few years. In any case, this was what Daniela Elser, an expert on the royal family, suggested when interviewed by the Mirror. The latter making it known that it had already been more than a year since the two brothers had not appeared together. However, the event did not allow them to get closer.

Refusal to comply

“5 metres. To my best estimate, the closest Prince William and Prince Harry have met throughout the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations last week was around 5 metres”reveals the expert, indicating that, by this rule, the eldest of the royal family and the one who fell heavily on horseback during a polo matchhad no desire to appear side by side in the photos.

This, however, apparently did not prevent Kate Middleton from having a good time. Especially since William’s companion must “catch up” after sending Elizabeth II for five years when she declined the invitation to Royal Ascot. A famous horse race that the Queen appreciates to the highest degree. But if the mother of Louis, Charlotte and George never went to this annual meeting until 2016, it is because she and William “wanted to focus on raising their young children” according to royal expert Emily Nash.
