The presenter Mónica Rodríguez revealed the true reasons for her departure from Canal Caracol and a rehiring proposal with the requirement that it be moderated on social networks.

In an interview with the ‘CharlasConCharli’ program, Mónica Rodríguez recounted how her departure was, but took the opportunity to criticize some of the media for their double standards.

“It seems to me that the media sometimes have a double standard. I didn’t leave Caracol, they kicked me out. The funniest thing is that as soon as I sat down, the first thing they told me was: ‘we want you to know that this had nothing to do with your social networks’. Unsolicited explanation, manifest accusation ”, she pointed out at first.

In the first statements after her dismissal, the presenter had assured that she had nothing to do with her social networks, since she repeatedly criticized the government of Iván Duque and also former President Álvaro Uribe Vélez.

Likewise, he assured that this double standard occurred in all the media, for which reason he decided not to give importance to what happened. However, he indicated that at a certain point he felt guilty for what had happened.

“It seems to me that there is a double standard in general, even I did not want to give it much importance just after my dismissal. I tried to tone it down, because in a certain way I felt guilty or I don’t know what stupidity was going on in my head at that moment,” added Mónica Rodríguez.

Time after, Canal Caracol contacted the Colombian to return to work on a projectbecause she was one of the best presenters and they could not do without her talent.

“The second parts are sometimes not good and when they offered me to return to a project, a pilot was made, the focus group was held with the people and it was wonderful,” he commented in the middle of the conversation.
