Why was the Sunnah not written down in the era of the Messenger or the Rightly Guided Caliphs? .. Researcher Nasser Al-Huzaimi explains

Al-Marsad Newspaper: The researcher and writer Nasser Al-Huzaimi said that the Sunnah of the Prophet at the time of the message at the time of the Rightly-guided Caliphs was not written down, except for some of the writings that were written down such as the messages of the Messenger and treaties.

He added that the hadiths of the Messenger, during this period, were transmitted orally, and Umar ibn al-Khattab used to prevent and punish those who had a great deal of hadith and sometimes asked for a witness from the Companions to testify that he had heard this hadith from the Messenger.

He pointed out that there was an emphasis on the hadith narration during the period of the Messenger and the Rightly-Guided Caliphs, and there is much evidence for the prohibition of transcribing the Sunnah.
