The 36-year-old from Burgenland is now five strokes behind the South African leader Oliver Bekker on the World Tour.

Bernd Wiesberger showed on Saturday in round three of the Catalunya Championship of the World Tour (par 72) with a round of 67. The 36-year-old from Burgenland moved up from 35th place to seventh place, five shots behind South African leader Oliver Bekker. In third place, Wiesberger misses two shots. The Styrian Lukas Nemecz was improved after his 74 from the day before with a 71 lap and caught up two positions as 24th.

Wiesberger missed an even better starting position with two bogeys (stroke losses) on the last two holes. He had crowned his day’s work with an eagle (double shot win) on the 15, which he had also done the day before. His scorecard showed a total of six birdies and three bogeys, resulting in five under par for the “Moving Day”. Nemecz had less undulations in his performance. He more than made up for his bogey on the 2nd hole with birdies on holes eleven and twelve. The 32-year-old is now three strokes behind his compatriot.
