The Ministry of Health has announced the way monkeypox is transmitted between people.
This comes after the Ministry of Health announced, last Wednesday, that an Egyptian citizen tested positive for the monkeypox virus, and his infection was discovered through the epidemiological surveillance procedures carried out by the ministry, and he was isolated in a hospital designated for isolation.
She pointed out that it is unlikely that monkeypox will turn into a global pandemic like Covid 19.
In a post on her official Facebook page on Friday, she explained that monkeypox does not spread easily, and does not spread through the air over long distances.
She pointed out that monkeypox is transmitted through close contact with people infected with the virus for good periods of time.
The Ministry of Health confirmed that the patient, whose infection was discovered, is 42 years old, who has obtained residency in one of the European countries and frequented it, and his general condition is stable, and all health and preventive measures have been taken with his contacts in accordance with the treatment and follow-up protocols approved by the World Health Organization.
