Windows 11 comes with a notification system. The latter is not used optimally so that warnings can be useless and polluting.

You’ve probably seen alerts from the Windows Security app many times. They are regular and follow an analysis of the system without the detection of a problem. What are they for ? The same types of notifications are seen with the Weather app, some sites, and different apps. This situation is a real problem in Windows 11.

Microsoft is behind an initiative to reduce these unnecessary notifications. There is the “concentration” mode. Its purpose is to limit sources of distraction in order to improve the user’s concentration.

This concerns, for example, notifications from applications such as Outlook, Edge, etc. Another approach is under study.

This is a feature called “Smart opt-out”. It was spotted in a recent build of the operating system released as part of the Windows Insider program. It works quite simply. Mail filters have been using it for years. This feature should quickly find its way to the “general public” version of Windows 11. Some people mention a few months of waiting all the same.
