Microsoft offers several new features for its Windows 11 operating system in the form of different Update Packs. Some are already available.
Microsoft offers 3 different pack shapes : Pack Feature Experience that enhances existing features, Pack Online Service Experience for the improvement of a specific functionality or Pack Web Experience available via the Windows Store and which will concern applications while the first 2 Packs will be accessible via Windows Update.
Among the novelties, it will be possible to create application folders directly in the start menufrom drag/drop a file to the taskbard’pin files in Explorer or to obtain new design effects especially blur.
And since the last update, we can enjoy a new design for Media Player and Notepad as well as applications Android.
Users oftouchscreenfor example under 2-in-1 hybrid Ultrabooks, will be delighted with the gesture support : Swiping up from the status bar will open Quick Settings while swiping up from the bottom of the screen anywhere else will bring up the Start menu.
However, for some of these new features, you will have to wait for the release of the future major update. Windows 11 22H2 code name Sun Valley 2 scheduled as its name suggests for the second half of 2022.
