This is the ninth domestic ski resort and the first indoor ski resort in Changsha. The project covers an area of more than 22,000 square meters; in July 2020, Changsha built the world’s largest indoor ice and snow park – Happy Snowland, the core project of Xiangjiang Happy City, with a project area of 30,000 square meters… According to statistics, Changsha currently has 4 large-scale skating venues and 3 skiing venues. In 2021, 1 million people will go to these ice and snow venues for consumption, and the direct operating income such as ticket consumption and coaching fees generated by the ice and snow venues will reach 152 million yuan, and the total secondary consumption driven by these ice and snow sports venues will reach 372 million yuan.
The second is ice and snow sports entering the campus. Young people are the main force participating in ice and snow sports, and Changsha has done a lot of basic work in promoting ice and snow sports. It is understood that Changsha City provides ice and snow sports training services for young people in the form of cooperation between associations, clubs and schools. At present, there are 12 colleges and universities, 98 primary and secondary schools, and more than 500 kindergartens in the city that simultaneously carry out ice and snow sports. Tanzhou Experimental Primary School in Yuelu District and Qingya Lifa School in Tianxin District were also shortlisted for national ice and snow sports schools.
The third is the landing of more ice and snow events. It is understood that since 2019, Changsha City has held or undertaken national, provincial and municipal youth ice and snow roller skating competitions with high quality and high standards for three consecutive years, and organizes youth ice and snow roller skating open competitions, challenges and fun competitions every year.
