The Cordovan Lucas Beltrán scored in the first minutes of this Wednesday with a right cross the goal of River’s 1-0 victory over Monterrey of Mexico at the Q2 stadium in Austin (Texas), in the first of the three friendlies of the Argentine club scheduled in the United States.
After 60 minutes with few emotions, Ezequiel Barco entered and changed the face of River’s attack and put in the pass for Beltrán the goal that allows River to enthusiastically reach the next international friendlies with Millonarios and Vasco da Gama.
The variants that the Cordoba coach Martín Demichelis put in were key for River to improve in the last 20 minutes. And one of the admitted players, Barco, took the ball and helped Beltrán define with a right cross.
Thus came Demichelis’s first victory as a coach and as manager of River, who won his first game of the year.
Now River travels to Miami to face Millonarios on 14 at the DRV PNK Stadium, home of Inter Miami, and will then travel to Orlando to face Vasco da Gama.
