University of Chile celebrated on its visit to Curicó. The blue players hugged each other, sang with the nearly 400 fans who arrived at the La Granja stadium and left to applause after reaping their third consecutive victory in the National Tournament.
The students, who sleep in the leadership of the contest, with 12 units, the same as Huachipato, the latter with two fewer games, managed to dominate a team that felt the fatigue of the midweek match against Cerro Porteño, for the Copa Libertadores . They prevailed 3-1, in a duel in which they were superior from start to finish.
One of the figures of the meeting was Nicolás Guerra. The student youth squad, who returned after he passed through Ñublense, scored a great goal. And once the match was over, he did not hide his emotion for celebrating again with the blue shirt.
“Since I arrived I always wanted to score a goal, celebrate it with my people, the fans and my team. I am very excited, I hope it is the beginning of many. Happy for the team and also for the goal”, explained the attacker. “The truth is that he did not pressure me. When I arrived, it was quite clear to me that I would have to fight every day for the quality of players that the U has. You have to win the fight, ”he added.
“The minutes that I had, I always said that if I don’t contribute with goals or assists, let it be with a good game, helping the team, running and scoring. I feel like that was never lacking. Today he was rewarded with a goal, we have to go little by little”, added the student.
