The American telecommunications company, Motorola, unveiled its new “Motorola Edge 30 Pro” phone, which comes with unique features and outstanding performance.
The American company launched the new phone in India, today, Saturday, at a price of 49,999 rupees (about $ 666).
And Motorola had launched the “20Edge” series of phones last year, and it was targeting the middle class with features similar to flagship phones.
The Motorola Edge 30 Pro has almost the same design as the Edge 20 Pro, and has a large screen and slim bezels on all sides.
Design and screen
Motorola added a curved glass back on both sides, which makes the phone comfortable to hold.
The phone weighs about 196 grams, and the company chose a plastic frame for the phone, which critics described as strange for a flagship smartphone.
The phone comes with an “IP52” certification that is somewhat dust-resistant, and is also able to withstand light water splashes.
The phone features a 6.7-inch “AMOLED” screen with “Full HD +” accuracy, “HDR10 +” reliability and a maximum screen refresh rate of 144 Hz.
The screen, according to the company’s announcement, has good viewing angles and becomes bright enough when used outdoors.
Motorola also added a DC dimming option, which helps conserve battery power when the brightness is lowered.
The front of the phone has a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection layer, while the back has Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The Edge 30 Pro also has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
The phone comes in two distinct colors: “Cosmos Blue” and “Stardust White”.
Performance and cameras
The phone is powered by a powerful “Snapdragon 8 Gen 1” processor from the American company “Qualcomm”, with 8 GB of random access memory (RAM), and 128 GB of storage space.
And the phone is not upgradable in memory and storage to keep the price relatively affordable.
The phone supports “Bluetooth 5.2”, “Wi-Fi 6” and “NFC”, six satellite navigation systems, in addition to support for fifth generation (5G) networks. The phone has two “Nano-SIM” slots that support “5G” technology.
The phone battery comes with a capacity of 4800 mAh, supports fast charging of 68 watts, and wirelessly capacity of 15 watts.
The phone works from the box on the “Android 12” operating system.
As for the cameras, the phone has a triple system that includes high-resolution sensors. The primary camera features a 50-megapixel camera, optical stabilization (OIS), and an f/1.8 aperture.
As for the second camera, it is a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, with a field of view of 114 degrees, and it is capable of shooting “macro” as well.
The third sensor is a 2-megapixel depth camera, and the selfie camera comes with a 60-megapixel sensor.
