The artist, Suleiman Eid, told a story that happened between him and the artist, Adel Imam, which made him cry after meeting him in the play Al-Zaim.
Eid said that after his marriage, he had many debts that he should have paid, and I did not know how to pay them due to the stagnation of cinema during this period.
He added, during a previous interview with the “Happening in Egypt” program broadcast on MBC Egypt, that after the stagnation continued and the play “Jose and Almonds” stopped.
About the show due to special circumstances, he asked “Fattouh Ahmed” to work with him in a 10-episode series such as “Extras” for 75 pounds per episode.
Suleiman Eid continued that when he found young people younger than him in the series, he was embarrassed and preferred not to continue with the role, noting that after attempts by the director before the role, provided that he did not appear directly in the series.
He continued that during this period, he attended a promo presentation of Adel Imam’s play “The Leader” and from there he asked Adel Imam to play a role in the play, so the latter told him that there is no role except for an old man, to reply to him laughing that he is really old.
He continued: The artist, Adel Imam, told me to take how much I told him 600 pounds, he told them that he signed a contract of 1500 pounds, which enabled him to pay off his debts and burst into tears with joy.
