We discovered her in the spring of 2020 in the midst of a pandemic, Lily Gasc, singer with a slender voice and heady pop choruses. A necklace of multicolored songs around her neck, she braved the ambient blues with her meticulously out of tune electronic carousels. She talked about breaking up, the difficulty of sharing, breaking up, post-traumatic intoxication and breaking up again. Seemingly banal stories, as if taken from a diary, told as one forms a heart with one’s fingers.
