With satellite images, the earth is splitting and “moving” in Turkey

New satellite images, published by the “Maxar” company, documented the strength of the devastating earthquake that swept large areas in Turkey and Syria, where a large crack cut through the land, penetrating farms and residential areas.

And “Maxar” published on its Twitter account, pictures showing a large crack in the ground, as if it had moved from its place due to the earthquake.

The pictures were taken near the epicenter of the earthquake in the city of Nurdağı, Turkey, where a crack stretching hundreds of meters can be seen, cutting through a highway, farms and residential areas..

Maxar compared the new photos with others dating back to September 2019, to show the extent of the destruction that befell the area.

The expert in radar and satellite images and seismology, Nahil Bilgerzi, said on his Twitter account that the new images “show a surface rupture several hundred meters long, with a horizontal displacement of up to 4 meters,” near Nurdagi in Gaziantep, Turkey.
