Luis Amarilla scored a double, including the goal that allowed Minnesota United to tie 4-4 with the Portland Timbers on Saturday.
Amarilla’s final equalizer came in the 69th minute for United. The Paraguayan striker added another goal.
Minnesota also had goals from Argentina’s Franco Fragapane and Bongokuhle Hlongwane.
Provisionally, Minnesota United was placed third in the Western Conference, with 35 points.
The Argentine Sebastián Blanco scored two goals and Jaroslaw Niezgoda added another for the Timbers, who reached 31 units and are seventh.
United will visit the Colorado Rapids next Saturday, while the Timbers will host Nashville on Wednesday.
