Fernández arrived in the seaside city on Wednesday night, after having made a trip to Chile to commemorate with his trans-Andean counterpart, Gabriel Boric, the 205th anniversary of the Maipú Embrace between generals Bernardo O Higgins and José de San Martín.

The trip comes at the end of a hectic week, that was marked by the crime of Daniel Barrientos, the bus driver murdered in an act of insecurity in the Buenos Aires district of La Matanza, an episode on which the head of state did not rule.
