Wojo deploys coworking spaces in Accor hotels in Africa

Wojo coworking spaces will be offered in Accor hotels owned by Kasada in sub-Saharan Africa.

The rise of coworking in Accor hotels is not limited to Europe, where nearly 400 hotels already have Wojo spaces. Also deployed in 150 establishments in Latin America, their expansion will now continue on the African continent. « A strategic step in our development »highlighted Stephane Bensimon, CEO of Wojo. To this end, the coworking specialist, a subsidiary of the French group and of Bouygues Immobilier, has entered into a partnership with another entity close to the hotelier, Kasada Capital Management. Launched in 2018, this platform created with the support of Accor and the sovereign wealth fund of Qatar is dedicated to investments in the development of new hotels or the takeover of existing hotels in sub-Saharan Africawith a first fund with equity of more than 500 million dollars.

It is in this context that Kasada and WOJO have concluded a master franchise agreement, with the opening of the first coworking spaces expected. from the second half of 2022. « We wanted to join the WOJO teams from the start of the renovation works of our hotels in order to capitalize on their unique know-how“said Olivier Granet, Managing Partner and Managing Director of Kasada. “These hotels designed jointly with flexible workspaces, known as mixed-use, are one of the major development paths for Wojo.“said Stéphane Bensimon for his part.

Private office and coworking spaces, meeting and congress rooms: with these solutions dedicated to nomadic or more sedentary work, Kasada and Wojo intend to meet the needs of international business travelers as well as local companies and self-employed workers. With establishments in the main cities of the region, the two players want to create a community of users who, through a single membership, will be able to benefit from workplaces that meet Wojo standards at the same time as the services offered by Kasada hotels, restaurants and bars, gyms and swimming pools among others. ” Our spaces will meet the new expectations of our international travelerswhile transforming our hotels into real living spaces perfectly integrated into their surroundings“, commented Olivier Granet.
