  1. La Niña DESERVED WAY MORE INTERNATIONAL ATTENTION AT A HIGHER LEVEL THAN IT GOT…

This is a much bigger story than is appreciated, even in Colombia. This is about more than Belky who was amazing in her own right. This story presented a working blueprint that could have been used to end civil wars around the world. The fact that it didn’t work as envisioned in Colombia is not a fault of the idea, it’s a fault of the implementation for which there was insufficient time, resources, money, skills and education.

To work the plan required sacrifices that were to massive given the nature of the problem. It could have worked but to work, Colombia needed the help of several other nations. This was a project that should not have been allowed to fail. It was too important to the entire world.

It’s failure has had profound consequences for nearly every country on earth, not just those embroiled in civil war, but for those with steadily incursions made by drug proliferation.

The movie series, La Niña, was in my opinion only half done when it ended, if that. There were so many unanswered questions, that I wrote La Niña Season 2. Eventually Caracol Internacional told me to cease and desist when I tried to get them to continue the series. So I have a great book I can’t publish. What was really weird was that as Season 2 progressed, it veered into real life. It turned out that some of the names I made up for my characters were the actual names of real People who lived an approximation the events I described.

Since I had the story, I decided to change it enough to use some of it in a fictional account of another couple of girls who lived through similar though different circumstances. Once again, the story veered into real life. It kind of shows that certain social forces can be predicted and end up happening.

If I ever publish this series, it will be published as THE DEVIL’S DAUGHTERS. At some point soon it will have a website or be part of a podcast. I haven’t figured that part out yet. The entire thing was inspired by Ana Marie Estupiñan. She did her homework and her performance was so inspiring, that I’ve so far spent five years doing the research and developing my own work. Kind of odd since as far as I know,, there is no market for this sort of story in North America. As well, it’s all in English. I may use Google translator to produce a Spanish version. But for who?

Anyway, thanks for reading if anyone ever does.
