The body of a woman who has been missing for a week has been found in the septic tank behind her Florida home. His handyman was charged with the murder.
Cynthia Cole, 57, had been missing for just over a week after attending an art festival.
After finding footage from the doorbell camera that showed handyman Keoki Hilo Demich leaving the victim’s home, officers were able to arrest him.
Authorities then searched Cynthia Cole’s home. That’s when they realized the top of his septic tank was cracked open. They thus made the macabre discovery, the body of the victim being there.
“I’ve been in this business for over 40 years, and I’ve never seen anything like it,” said Martin County Sheriff William Snyder.
According to the police, Demich had been doing work for Cynthia Cole for a few years. He would have killed him before leaving his body in the pit.
