A worker from the town of Heuvelland in West Flanders who was trapped under the cover of a concrete mixer in Langemark on Thursday has died, the Ghent labor auditor announced on Friday.
The accident occurred Thursday afternoon on the grounds of a road works company. A colleague found the 29-year-old near a cement mixer where he was working alone at the time.
“The victim was trapped under the heavy metal cover of the cement mixer”, indicated the labor auditor. The man succumbed to his injuries Friday afternoon.
