For the second time, the next disabled athletics world championships have been postponed due to the health situation. Initially scheduled for 2020 in the Japanese city of Kobe, the Worlds had been postponed for the first time by two years, to be held from August 26 to September 4, 2022. The organizers once again postponed the event by two years. The disabled athletics worlds are now set for 2024, the year of the Paralympic Games in Paris. The French capital should host the Disabled Athletics World Championships in 2023 as planned. The last Disabled Athletics World Championships took place in Dubai in 2019.
