Writer “Hamza Al-Muzaini” tells the story of his sentence to imprisonment and 75 lashes…and reveals how King Abdullah saved him • Al-Marsad Newspaper

Al-Marsad newspaper: The writer Dr. Hamza Al-Muzaini revealed a position of King Abdullah – may God have mercy on him – following he was sentenced to imprisonment and flogging, noting that King Abdullah was the crown prince at the time and issued an order that saved him and all writers and journalists.

He said during an interview with the “Sanwan” program broadcast on the Saudi channel: “A lawsuit was filed once morest me because of a very simple dispute, and I was sentenced to two months in prison and 75 lashes.”

And he continued, King Abdullah – may God have mercy on him – was crown prince at the time and issued his order to transfer this case from the court to the Ministry of Information, and this is not surprising from our rulers who stand in the face of those who deviate from justice.

He pointed out that King Abdullah saved the writers and journalists when he returned the matter to its legal and legitimate track.
