Automotive technology supplier Wuxi Autolink Intelligence Tech is building a greenfield electronics components factory in Dragomirești-Deal, approximately 10 kilometers from Bucharest, with recruitment already underway, Adevărul reported.
The project marks a strategic manufacturing push into Eastern Europe by the Chinese firm, which specializes in intelligent vehicle architectures. The facility will gradually absorb external orders from the wider corporate group and scale up output capacity for international markets.
Wuxi Builds Greenfield Production Site for Automotive Components
- The Investment: Wuxi Autolink Intelligence Tech is establishing a greenfield production site in Dragomirești-Deal to build automotive electronic components from the ground up.
- The Scope: The facility will manufacture smart cockpit controllers, central computing units, and advanced driver-assistance system modules.
- The Timeline: Recruitment has already commenced, including an active search for a plant manager to oversee both construction and future operations.
Greenfield Construction in Dragomirești-Deal
The manufacturing facility is rising on a completely new plot in Dragomirești-Deal. Yang Hongze leads the company, which counts major automakers like BAIC, Geely, and Chery Automobile among its shareholders. Bosch, NIO Capital, and state-backed Chinese funds also hold stakes in the enterprise.
Recruitment for the site is moving forward across multiple operational tiers. The company is actively interviewing candidates for a plant manager position who will take charge of supervising the physical construction phase alongside standard manufacturing oversight.
Advanced Hardware Production for Smart Vehicles
The Romanian plant will focus on the core hardware required for software-defined vehicles. Wuxi Autolink specializes in high-density printed circuit boards, central computing units, and modules designed for advanced driver-assistance systems.
These components feed directly into modern vehicle electronics, managing everything from cabin displays to active driving safety functions. By shifting select external group orders to the Bucharest-area facility, the company aims to shorten supply chains for its international client base.
Company Establishes Research Arm and Expands Across Europe
The manufacturing plant follows the establishment of the company’s local research and development arm. Operating through two local entities—Autolink European Tech Center SRL and Autolink Intelligence System—the firm houses its R&D operations within the Campus 6 office complex developed by Skanska in Bucharest.
This localized footprint supports a broader regional strategy. Autolink also opened offices in Germany and France this year and initiated a technical collaboration with Swiss group EDAG in September to evaluate the Deep Fusion EEA architecture against European standards.
