WWE NXT 2.0 #52
Ort: WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, USA
First broadcast: September 06, 2022

Today’s edition of NXT 2.0 kicks off with an in-depth look back at last Sunday’s Worlds Collide before we’re welcomed into the hall by Vic Joseph and Wade Barrett. There, the last NXT UK Champion, Tyler Bate, makes his way to the ring. He first thanks the audience for their support before he thanks Breakker for the great match. Gallus come out and can’t believe their ears, after all, rather than expressing thanks, Bate should be apologizing to every Briton, Welsh, Irish, English and, above all, Scots! Tyler Bate abandoned home before questioning what became of the Big Strong Boy. Bate counters that the title match didn’t go as he wished, but that Gallus didn’t deliver on their promise of winning the Tag Team Titles either. Joe Coffey warns Bate to be careful, after all, he’s standing alone while the three of them, accompanied by two security guards, are out and about. Seconds later, Gallus attack Bate, who cannot resist the majority. But Bron Breakker’s music quickly sounds, who rushes to the ring and stirs up Gallus. The NXT Champion throws Mark Coffey and Wolfgang out of the ring before Bate introduces Joe to Bop and Bang. Breakker grabs the microphone and issues a challenge to a tag team match.

Pretty Deadly admire their new treasures backstage, the NXT and NXT UK Tag Team Championships. They are certain that their current reign must mean that they are the best tag team ever. Lash Legend arrives and congratulates their friends on winning the title. However, you should stay away from social media, where there are voices claiming they only won because Damon Kemp turned against the Creed Brothers. Enraged, Kit and Prince entrust Legend with the British Tag Team Titles and walk away with the remaining titles.

Meiko Satomura was asked backstage for an interview shortly after her loss to Mandy Rose. She says she is very disappointed. There is also Cora Jade, who offers that the Japanese is very welcome to lose to her at NXT. But the final boss politely declines the challenge, not out of fear, but because she has already agreed to a match with Roxanne Perez. Satomura leaves the area and Cora Jade is furious.

As Toxic Attraction make their way to the ring, we are shown a photo of Mandy Rose lying in front of her pool in true Shawn Michaels fashion, clad only in her two women’s titles. However, Wade Barrett promises that she’ll be back next week for NXT 2.0’s one year anniversary!

Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo reunite for a delicious cappuccino when they get a visit from Pretty Deadly. The Don also offers his visitors a cup, which they happily accept. The drink quickly finds its way back when Kit Wilson almost chokes on Tony D asking how much they paid Damon Kemp. Pretty Deadly insist they claimed the win all by themselves, which D’Angelo and Lorenzo ironically acknowledge.

3. Match
Singles Match
Meiko Satomura defeated Roxanne Perez via pin after the Scorpio Rising.
Match time: 11:19
– Cora Jade watched the match backstage on a TV monitor.

Satomura and Perez then shake hands and bow before the final boss exits the ring. Cora Jade uses this for a sneak attack with her kendo stick. However, Satomura is quickly back in the ring and drives away Jade.

Damon Kemp opens up about his attack on the Creed Brothers and his breakup with the Diamond Mine. He was introduced as the new superstar by Roderick Strong, but since then he’s always been just the group’s sidekick. Winning has always been in his DNA, even in high school he demonstrated Brutus Creed wrestling. He could smell the argument between Strong and the Creed Brothers miles upwind, but he played along and kept heating it up. Nobody believed him capable of attacking Strong in the parking lot. And when the Creeds still wanted to keep him down after that, that’s when his decision was made to cost them the tag team titles. They say Diamond Mine is forever, but the truth is only Damon Kemp is forever.

Kiana James and her assistant meet The Dyad backstage. James is also offered a smiley pin, which her assistant accepts on behalf of her. The two turn their backs and James tells her assistant not to accept freebies, and she throws the pin in the trash. Arianna Grande also checks her schedule before talking to James. The two agree that they hate Zoey Stark and Nikkita Lyons. In the background at The Dyad’s table was the person in the red hoodie again, this time greeting Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid with a hug.

4. Match
Singles Match
Ricochet defeated Trick Williams via pin after a shooting star press.
Match time: 5:13
– NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes took the commentary stand for this match.

Tony D’Angelo and Channing Lorenzo are still drinking cappuccino and seem to have found the perfect recipe. Cameron Grimes arrives and is approached by Tony D’Angelo about the offer to join the D’Angelo Family. Grimes, however, is certain that he doesn’t need anyone, least of all D’Angelo. Tony D is visibly unhappy about this and says the last ones who turned down his offer are no longer here because he made short work of them. But Grimes doesn’t think he’s like anyone else before spilling the cappuccino Stacks served him all over his shirt. This allows Grimes the advantage in the brawl that follows, but of course D’Angelo intervenes and throws Grimes through the coffee table with a Uranage.

Sol Ruca will soon be making her debut on NXT 2.0.

McKenzie Mitchell now has the Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile. Brutus Creed is furious and wants to get his hands on Damon Kemp to correct the mistake he made on Worlds Collide. Pretty Deadly storm in, promising the Creeds a match for the Tag Team Championship next week, with fans getting to choose their stipulation. Julius Creed wants to vent his anger at Kemp on the Brits next week.

Axiom (1) defeated Nathan Frazer (0) via pin after running superkick.
Match time: 11:46

Security chief Hank Walker distributes final instructions to his employees in front of the Gallus door before Javier Bernal arrives and makes fun of Walker. Big Body Javi sees himself as a superstar, while Walker is just a pathetic security operative. Walker has heard enough and promises he’ll spank Bernal every day as the door opens and Gallus makes his way to the ring. Walker leaves Bernal where he is and sets out with his colleagues to accompany Gallus.

“The Super Diva” Quincy Elliott promises to make his NXT debut next week!

McKenzie Mitchell now has Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams. The latter concedes defeat to Ricochet, but at the end of the day he’s still the better, stronger and better looking. Hayes says they’re done with Ricochet because he’s already defeated everyone who got in his way in NXT. Mitchell reveals to Hayes that a match for the North American Championship has already been scheduled for next week. Hayes angrily asks why he doesn’t know anything about it and who his opponent is, but he hasn’t been determined yet. Because the NXT universe will be able to vote on the one-year anniversary of NXT 2.0 who can challenge Hayes.

So there are already two title matches for the coming week. In addition to the North American Championship match between Carmelo Hayes and the opponent chosen by the fans, viewers will also be able to decide which stipulation the NXT Tag Team Championship match between Pretty Deadly and The Creed Brothers will receive. In addition, Security Chief Hank Walker meets Javier Bernal, while Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo will step into the ring against Cameron Grimes and a partner of his choice.
