– Tonight is WWE SmackDown, the blue show starts with the intro then the commentators welcome us. Braun Strowman then enters for his title match against Gunther.
Intercontinental Championship – Singles Match
Gunther (c) vs Braun Strowman
At the end of the match, Gunther carries Braun Strowman who was on the second rope from the corner and gives him a Powerbomb followed by the fall for the victory.
Winner: Gunther – Still Champion
– We review what happened last week in the Bloodline.
– Backstage, Sami Zayn is in front of the Bloodline locker room door. Paul Heyman walks out and says he’s the only Bloodline member there, the others aren’t here tonight. He tells Sami Zayn that Roman Reigns wants Zayn to do the job alone tonight.
– Rey Mysterio enters and tells us that holidays are special, especially when you’ve been on the road for so many years. But he didn’t have a very good Christmas, Dominik Mysterio tried to ruin him. As a father, it breaks his heart. As a man, he’s had enough of this bullshit! He came to SmackDown for a fresh start, he knows what will put him back on the right path: he will participate and win the Royal Rumble! The music of Karrion Kross sounds and he arrives accompanied by Scarlett.
Karrion Kross tells Rey Mysterio that he was backstage listening to him talk about his goals. Speaking of the Royal Rumble, Rey Mysterio won it 17 years ago. But that was 17 years ago, so we can calm down. It must have been a special moment for him and his Dominik… well Kross doesn’t know if it was really special for his son because his father wasn’t there when he was a child. Who does Rey Mysterio hate the most between Dominik, because he didn’t grow up like him, and himself, because Dominik is not like his father?
Rey Myserio starts attacking Karrion Kross and puts him in a 619 position. Going to the ropes, Scarlett grabs his leg and Karrion Kross takes the opportunity to apply his Kross Jacket on Rey Mysterio.
– Behind the scenes, Emma, Liv Morgan and Maxxine Dupri talk about the Royal Rumble. Raquel Rodriguez joins them says it will be her first Royal Rumble, she is excited. Liv Morgan slaps Raquel Rodriguez and tells her she wants a match tonight, Rodriguez accepts.

Xia Li vs Tegan Nox
At the end of the match, Tegan Nox made his Shiniest Wizard on Xia Li then pinned for victory.

– A video of the Viking Raiders is shown.
– Backstage, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre are with Adam Pearce. McIntyre says he wants to face the Viking Raiders tonight, while Sheamus says they can wait and face the Usos instead. Adam Pearce announces that a tournament will begin next week and the winners will get a match for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles. Sheamus and Drew McIntyre will be in this tournament and will face the Viking Raiders next Friday.
– Enter Bray Wyatt. In the center of the ring, a light comes on and we see the Wyatt Family chair. Bray Wyatt sits in this chair and says “We’re Here” (what he said at the time). He says he is the Eater of World. He is Uncle Howdy. He is “he” (Him). He is Bray Wyatt. At the Royal Rumble, it will be his rebirth. As for LA Knight, when the lights go out, he better run!
The segment ends with the transition from the Wyatt Family.
– Backstage, Kayla Braxton is with Kevin Owens. Sami Zayn joins them and tells Kevin Owens that he should have left him alone on SmackDown. Owens replies that he was on RAW and the Bloodline came to open his mouth, he had to deal with it. He wasn’t the one who asked for tonight’s match or the tag team match with John Cena, it was Roman Reigns.
– Behind the scenes, Gunther says he overcame his biggest challenge by beating Braun Strowman. Now he will win the Royal Rumble and go into the WrestleMania Main Event.
Singles Match
Liv Morgan vs. Raquel Rodriguez
At the end of the match, Raquel Rodriguez made her Tejana Bomb on Liv Morgan followed by the fall for the victory.
Winner: Raquel Rodriguez
– We see Charlotte Flair’s victory over Sonya Deville last week. Backstage, Deville is with Pearce and wants a rematch. Pearce explains to her that he can’t give her a rematch because she lost. Deville asks if she has to go through the Royal Rumble, Pearce replies that it works like that.
– Backstage, a fight breaks out between Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville. The officials somehow end up separating the two wrestlers.
– A video on Cody Rhodes is shown.
– In two weeks on SmackDown: Rey Mysterio vs. Karrion Kross. Next week: Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens sign a contract / Drew McIntyre and Sheamus will face the Viking Raiders in the first round of the tournament, the winners of which will be the new challengers to the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.
Singles Match
Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens
At the end of the match, The Usos and Solo Sikoa entered the ring to attack Kevin Owens while Sami Zayn was going to make his Helluva Kick on his opponent. The referee ends the game.
Winner: Kevin Owens via disqualification
– After the match, Sami Zayn is shocked at the Bloodline’s intervention. The Usos and Solo Sikoa continue the attack on Kevin Owens and put him on the announce table. Solo Sikoa jumps off the barricade on Owens with a Splash across the table, while The Usos try to explain themselves to Sami Zayn
The show ends with a celebration of the Bloodline.
