O X (formerly Twitter) is preparing to launch a new subscription with three plans, aiming to boost the company’s revenue despite a drop in revenue since its acquisition by Elon Musk last year.

Linda YaccarinoCEO of the company, revealed plans for the new service during a meeting with creditor banks, suggesting that Premium (formerly Twitter Blue) should be divided into the following levels: Basic, Standard e Plus — each offered at different prices, of course.

Although the exact release date has not been revealed, hints of the modalities have been found in the X application code. These levels, according to these new discoveries, will likely include:

“Basic Premium” (with ads); “Standard Premium” (with half the ads); “Premium Plus” (no ads).

If this is true, the current Premium could become the new mid-tier option. Another aspect that is still unclear is whether all subscribers will receive the verified badge or whether this will remain exclusive to some users.

After Musk purchased Twitter, there were significant changes to the platform, causing concerns among advertisers and leading to a decrease in revenue of 60%. The company even faces a debt of US$13 billion.

The billionaire has even hinted at the possibility of adopting a model in which all users should pay a fee to use the platform, citing the need to combat bots. However, Yaccarino showed uncertainty about this plan during a recent interviewraising doubts about the real strategy of the social network.
