We’re just over a month away from Gamescom in Cologne, which runs from August 23rd to 27th. One of the confirmed exhibitors is Microsoft, who has hinted several times that this will be a “special year” at the event for Xbox. Perhaps we now know why Microsoft decided to go the extra mile with this year’s event, as they’ve now confirmed on Xbox Wire that last month’s Xbox Games Showcase was officially their “most viewed Xbox show of all time,” watch More than 92 million times. Thanks to a very strong showing and the subsequent Starfield Direct, they saw a 38% increase in viewership compared to last year. As fans seem to appreciate the format used and what’s on display, it’s easy to see why Microsoft would want more, and they also confirmed that we can expect their “biggest booth ever” at Gamescom. Microsoft says they’ll have “more news about us at the show in the coming weeks – stay tuned”, and hopefully that means some surprises. As usual, Gameactor will be visiting Gamescom and covering everything that happened at the event, so be sure to follow us. What do you think of the Xbox Games Showcase, which includes first-party announcements like Avowed, Fable, Forza Motorsport, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Starfield, and Clockwork Revolution and Towerborne (as well as third-party titles like Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Star Wars Outlaws, and some Persona love)?
