Xiaomi made its new basic cell phone Redmi 13C official in China at the beginning of November. Now, the Chinese company is preparing to launch its entry-level smartphone in India, but with a more powerful mobile platform.

According to information on the website 91Mobiles, the Indian version of the cell phone should come equipped with the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. The component is superior to the Helio G85, which powers the device in the brand’s home country variant.

Other technical specifications must be maintained. This means that the future edition of the Redmi 13C will also feature a 6.74-inch IPS LCD screen, with HD+ resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. In addition, it will have a 5,000 mAh battery, with 18W charging, and a set of cameras consisting of a 50 MP main camera, a 2 MP secondary camera and an 8 MP selfie camera.

Despite the main information, there are other details still in doubt. The publication’s sources did not reveal what the memory set will be – RAM and internal storage – nor the colors available for the model.

Even though there is still no specific date set to announce the cell phone in India, the expectation is that Xiaomi’s entry-level smartphone will arrive in the Asian country sometime next December. There is also no forecast for launch in Brazil.
