Description
The XXIX International Law and Human Genome Congress: ‘Genetics, Biotechnology and Advanced Medicine’ will be inaugurated on May 4 in the Arriaga auditorium in Bizkaia Aretoa (Bilbao). It will begin at 09:45 with a presentation by Alberto Emparanza, Dean of the Faculty of Law; Gorka Moreno, vice-rector of the Bizkaia campus; and Iñigo de Miguel, professor and researcher of the Research Group in Social and Legal Sciences applied to New Trends (GI-CISJANT).
In the congress there will be conferences on different topics divided into two sessions. The first will be on ‘Scientific dissemination, information and misinformation’ and the second ‘Organoids and other experimental models derived from human biological samples’. In each session there will be 3 speakers who will come from universities in other provinces such as Madrid and Barcelona.
On May 5 it will begin at 9:00 with a communications table, which will be followed by the session ‘Remote actions in the field of medicine’ with 3 presentations. The day will end with the delivery of the “Carlos María Romeo Casabona Award” for the best communication.
The organizers of the event are the GI – CISJANT, the Faculty of Law and the Red Cátedra de Derecho y Genoma Humano.
