The European Bayon shares a platform with the Hyundai i20 and is powered by a 100-horsepower 1.0-liter turbo engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. Front wheel drive only.
There is also an option with a 1.2 MPi Smartstream engine (84 forces) paired with a five-speed “mechanics”, as well as a “turbo engine” 1.0 (129 forces), which, if desired, can be supplemented with a 48-volt starter-generator. A pair of such an internal combustion engine is an iMT box with an electronic clutch or a DCT “robot”.
