Through a press release, the company MAGES announced the development of a new visual novel for the franchise of Gotoubun no Hanayome (The Quintessential Quintuplets), which will be titled “The Quintessential Quintuplets: Five Promises Made with Her” and that will be released on September 7 on consoles PlayStation 4 y Nintendo Switch in Japan.
This will be the third game in the quintuplets franchise, specifically the third visual novel developed by MAGES. The theme this time will be “beautiful summer dates”, but the type of story that will unfold this time will be revealed soon. However, it will likely continue the trend of previous games where the player can pace the story enough for Futaro Uesugi to get stuck with some of the girls from the franchise.
Besides, Negi Haruba published the manga in the magazine Weekly Shonen Magazine from the publisher Kodansha between August 2017 and February 2020, with a total of fourteen compiled volumes. The work inspired two anime seasons and a movie that ended the story, however, The production of a new anime that will cover the manga stories that were not adapted in the previous projects was recently announced.
Sinopsis de Gotoubun no Hanayome
Fuutarou Uesugi is an excellent high school student, but he leads a difficult life. His aloof personality and reclusive nature have left him friendless, and his father is in debt, forcing his family to fight for survival. One day, during their lunch break, Uesugi argues with a transfer student who has claimed “her seat” from her, causing the two to dislike each other. That same day, he is presented with a golden opportunity to pay off his family’s debt: a private tutoring job for the daughter of a wealthy family, at a salary five times the market price. He accepts the proposal, but is horrified to discover that the client, Itsuki Nakano, is the girl he faced earlier!
After unsuccessfully trying to get Itsuki’s approval, Uesugi discovers that his problems don’t end there: Itsuki is actually a quintuplet, so in addition to her, he must also tutor his sisters: Miku, Yotsuba, Nino, and Ichika. “That, despite the very real threat of failing, they want nothing to do with a tutor. However, his family’s livelihood is at stake, so Uesugi presses on, steadfast in his determination to rid the sisters of their hatred for studying and successfully lead them to graduation.
