The closest person laughed at her.

Soviet cinema could boast of a whole galaxy of beautiful actresses. So, the star of the painting “May Night, or the Drowned Woman” Tatyana Konyukhova could compete with the main divas of Hollywood. It is hard to believe, but in her youth she considered herself a terrible dropout.

Konyukhova dreamed of an acting career since childhood, but her mother constantly laughed at her daughter’s dreams and said that the artist would not come out of her – with such and such a face. But Tatyana Georgievna sought to prove the opposite.

After school, Konyukhova decided to move to Moscow, despite the indignation of her mother. On the day of departure, the parent brought her daughter to the mirror and began to shout that she was far from Ladynina and Orlova.

But Konyukhova still left and even entered VGIK the first time.

Glory came to the young actress already in her third year, when she starred in the film “May Night, or the Drowned Woman.” However, the role of Ganna was voiced by another artist, because for Tatyana Georgievna this task turned out to be overwhelming. She reproached herself for the mistake and even asked to leave her for the second year – the actress considered herself a dropout.

Nevertheless, the audience really liked the film, and other directors drew attention to Konyukhov. In those years, she was a real beauty: an open smile, a pretty face, a sparkle in her eyes. She can be seen in the films “Different Fates”, “Balzaminov’s Marriage”, and in the melodrama “Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears”, the actress played herself.
