Williams Sr. also said that YSL stands for “Young Stoner Life” and not “Young Slime Life” and denied it was a gang. Later in the interview, Infamous Sylvia asked Williams Sr. what he thought of YSL members accepting plea deals in the case.

“Fear,” said Willams Sr. “That’s an A-1 token for the system.”

Williams Sr. also added that some YSL members accept plea deals because they are “scared” or “uneducated” about how the justice system works. Atlanta rapper and YSL member Gunna was released last month as part of a plea deal after being incarcerated since May 2022.
