All Major League fans are very excited to see the Cuban baseball player, Yuli Gurriel, in action again, who after being in free agency at the beginning of the campaign, managed to sign with the Atlanta Braves.

The 39-year-old player reached an agreement with Ronald Acuña Júnior’s squad to play in the minor leaguesso, initially he should be present in Triple-A, however, if he shows a good level, he may possibly be able to play some games in the Majors.

Last season, the first baseman was with the Miami Marlins and played 108 games, among which he accumulated 32 runs scored, 73 hits16 doubles, 4 home runs and 27 RBIs with an average of .245 and an OPS of .663.

However, at the end of the season his performance dropped and he was unable to change his poor dynamics, so, his relationship with the Marlins ended and now he will have a new opportunity to demonstrate his validity with Atlanta.

Now, Gurriel has been in the Major Leagues for 8 years (most with the Houston Astros), achieving, among other things, two World Series in 2017 and 2022. Therefore, for this 2024 season, he will try to return to his best level to be taken into account by Brian Snitker’s coaching staff in the MLB.
